Career Assessment and Planning
This assessment program is designed to assist individuals and/or companies
in identifying participant career goals and options, specifying career
development activities, and making alignment or re-alignment decisions.
Program outcomes include an action plan allowing participants to pursue
career steps consistent with their values, interests, talents, and
work style.
Program components include the following:
Gaining Personal Insight:
Through interviewing and the use of career assessment instruments,
information regarding values, interests, skills, preferences and work
style is gathered and assimilated. This information is provided to
the participant in a feedback session in order to gain the insight
needed for evaluation of current and potential career opportunities.
Developing and Exploring Options:
Armed with information about the self, and working in collaboration
with a Career Coach, the process of identifying options begins. An
array of career options may be discussed and then narrowed down based
on assessment results, occupational research, and review of current
marketplace trends.
Action Planning:
Developing a plan to move forward may include discussions with one’s
partner, supervisor, or others who are stakeholders in the process.
It includes identifying the additional information, contacts, training,
and resources needed to make a change. These factors are discussed
and then summarized in a written Career Action Plan and included in
a written report of program outcomes.
Our experience has taught us that testing career
options against a personal career profile leads to sound decision
making, and ultimately to greater work and life satisfaction!
